Nordson-Asymtek is specialized in the development, manufacturing and sale of automated dispensing systems for the precise and repeatable application of liquids and fluids. Originally focused on the needs of the electronics and semiconductor industry, more and more customers in the field of LED manufacturing, life science, photovoltaic and electrical component assembly take advantage of Nordson-Asymtek´s dispensing expertise and experience. The applications include automated and selective conformal coating of PCB´s, precise dispensing of various adhesives, solderpaste, thermal grease, etching paste, conductive adhesive and other fluids, as well as underfill, dam & fill, cavity fill and glob top applications. Nordson-Asymtek High Performance Dispenser Spectrum S-900N Series
The model S-910N has been developed for traditional SMT applications like jetting of surface mount adhesive, jetting of conductive epoxies or dispensing of solder paste, whereas the model S-920N will be used for underfill and other encapsulation application. Both versions of the Spectrum Series have in common that they are supporting an optional laser height sensor which is fully integrated into the z-axis of the platform. The control and operation of the platform is done using a laptop computer. The platform does include a powerful, digital vision system with integrated pattern recognition. The advanced Fluidmove software allows to fully control all relevant parts of the dispensing process including fluid pressure, valve pressure and process heat.
The Spectrum Series platforms are fully compatible with Asymtek´s non-contact jetting valves as well as Asymtek´s traditional needle valves. The unique traceability function of this high performance system allows seamless tracking of all relevant processing steps for every single part, if required. The slim and compact design of this platform is following the fact that it makes sense to save floorspace to reduce manufacturing cost – an important factor especially in a clean room environment, but also in traditional electronics production.
The Spectrum series allows the user to tailor their systems to the dispensing requirements, using only the options or functions required for their application. As customer applications demand more advanced features the Spectrum Series can be configured to have all the features of Asymtek’s award winning Axiom systems, plus several new features. The flexible Spectrum Series design and features offer greater control, and resolution of the dispensing process, which leads to higher throughput and quality.
