IBL Löttechnik GmbH is presenting its redesigned Inline-Vapor Phase Soldering Machine BLC609i in the Production Line. The machine not only features a new look, but has a lower risk of material damage during the soldering processes and increased process reliability. Improvements include adjustable temperature control, automated process programming in Pilot Mode and precision consistency and repeatability of the soldering in Synchro Mode. These new features are a first in the field of vapor phase soldering technology.

Vapor phase soldering technology is ideal for processing under low temperatures, in oxygen-free soldering environments, and is thus an emission-free processing technique. IBL’s Soft-Vapor–Phase-Processing additionally simplifies process control by combining maximum flexibility with process variability.

The latest generation of IBL Inline Soldering machinery combines the highest quality with the highest throughput known to date in vapor-phase-systems. The vapor phase soldering machine CM 800 has already demonstrated the advantages of Double Soft Vapor technology in a number of production series. Additionally, IBL’s vapor phase soldering machines are extremely low-maintenance and dependable thanks to their patented “Cool Handling” inline technology.

In cooperation with the Fraunhofer IZM, IBL developed its patented Vacuum Vapor Phase Process to address the growing need for cavity-free soldering connections, particularlyin power electronics. Alternating operation with or without vacuum ensures no processing time is lost, and each production badge can be allocated to its own individual soldering profile and program even in changing series productions.

VAC645 and VAC665 are designed for singular and series productions and can be upgraded with a multi-line module for fully automated inline-operations. The redesigned VAC will be unveiled for the first time at the SMT. 

IBL offers easy-to-handle vapor phase soldering machines, which are equipped with conventional heating power technologies and therefore offer a large range of technologies for first-time users and for those wishing to swap technologies in their production lines. For more advanced applications, IBL has the Premium Series, in which all machines are equipped with the Soft-Vapor-Phase process that guarantees optimal solutions in production and the highest quality standards.
